 v class='textwidget'><h2>Freemasons Lodge Eltham</h2>\n<p>The Masonic Lodg
 e Eltham was <a title='Consecration' href='http://lodgeeltham.com.au/eltha
 m-beginings/consecration/'>consecrated</a> in 1911 by the Grand Lodge of N
 SW and the ACT. The idea of forming a <a title='Eltham Beginnings' href='h
 ttp://lodgeeltham.com.au/eltham-beginings/'>Masonic Lodge in Eltham</a> mu
 st have happened in the first half of the previous year\, because by the 2
 0th of July in 1910 a petition to form as new Lodge was drawn up. It was s
 igned by 17 interested local Masons\, recommended by Richmond River Lodge 
 No. 77\, countersigned and approved by Lodge Bangalow No. 250 and forwarde
 d to the Most <a title='Worshipful Master' href='http://lodgeeltham.com.au
 /worshipful-master/'>Worshipful Master </a>of the Grand Lodge of New South
  Wales and the Australian Capital Territory for approval.</p>\n<p>That was
  over 100 years ago and the Masonic community surrounding Eltham is still 
 as strong as ever. Masons <a title='Events' href='http://lodgeeltham.com.a
 u/events/'>come to meet</a> from surrounding towns like Lismore\, Bangalow
 \, Dunoon and even Byron Bay to attend regular meetings and to enjoy the h
 earty welcome that is synonymous with Freemasonry and it's brethren. Many 
 of us as kids wondered what dad was doing when he would dress up at night 
 and take his small bag of to the lodge and many of us have carried on that
  tradition. If this is something that you would like to talk about and fin
